Biography
Prof. Shams-ud-Din Abro is an Associate Professor of Botany at D.J. Sindh Government Science College, Karachi, with over 30 years of teaching experience at the intermediate and university levels. He began his academic career in 1995 and joined D.J. Sindh Government Science College in 1998, where he has served with distinction ever since.
He served as Head of the Department of Botany for 13 years and has also held the position of In-charge Principal. Throughout his career, he has served as an Internal and External Examiner, twice as Head Examiner (Practical) for the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi and the University of Karachi, and twice as a Member of the Board of Studies at the University of Karachi.
Promoted to Assistant Professor in 2011 and Associate Professor in 2021, Prof. Abro has actively contributed to academic administration through various committees, including Discipline, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Admissions. He has also participated in numerous professional development programs organized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Government of Sindh, reflecting his commitment to academic excellence and quality education.
