M.A in Urdu

Prof. Muhammad Mohsin Shaikh is a distinguished academician, educationist, and administrator with over three decades of dedicated service in higher education. He began his professional career as a Lecturer in Sukkur and served there for nearly 30 years, earning recognition for his commitment to academic excellence, research, and institutional development.

Following his promotion to the rank of Associate Professor , he was transferred to Superior College, where he served for almost three years in a leadership role. Subsequently, he was appointed as the **Principal of DJ Sindh Government Science College, Karachi, where he has been leading the institution with vision and dedication for over a year.

Throughout his distinguished career, Prof. Shaikh has played an active role in curriculum development, examination reforms, and educational policy. He has served as a member of the Paper Setter Committee, Model Paper Committee, and Academic Council of the Board of Intermediate Education. He is also a member of the Academic Council, Paper Setter Committee, and Curriculum and Syllabus Committee at the university level.

In addition, Prof. Shaikh is an active contributor to the Sindh Textbook Board, serving on the review committee for First-Year Intermediate textbooks. He has also contributed to the development and review of textbooks for Grades 5 to 10, not only as a reviewer but also as an author, helping shape educational content for students across Sindh.

Recognized as one of the most senior Urdu educators in Sindh, Prof. Shaikh ranks among the earliest promoted officers in BPS-20. His expertise extends beyond teaching and administration into literature and languages. He is proficient in **Urdu, Persian, Arabic, and is particularly known for producing poetic translations of Persian poetry into Urdu.

A passionate scholar and literary figure, Prof. Shaikh is actively engaged in writing, literary criticism, and poetry. His contributions to education, curriculum development, language, and literature have earned him immense respect among students, colleagues, and the academic community.
